FIELD INVESTIGATOR & RESEARCH FELLOW-II : 02 VACANT

Applications are invited in prescribed format from
eligible candidates who are the Citizens of India for the following vacant posts
to be filled up under Population Research Centre (Sponsored by the Ministry of
Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India) in Gauhati University.
1.
Name of post: Field Investigator
No.
of posts: 01 [UR]
Pay
scale: Rs. 22,000/- - 87,000/- + Grade pay Rs. 9,700/-
Nature
of post: The post is temporary and is likely to continue with
continuation of the PRC scheme.
Educational
qualification: At least 2nd class Post Graduate degree in
Demography/Population Studies/ Statistics/ Economics/ Mathematics/ Sociology/
Social Work/ Psychology/ Anthropology/ Geography.
Experience: Must
have experience in collection, analysis of data, handling of Software (SPSS, R
etc) and programming.

Name of post: Research Fellow-II
No.
of posts: 01 [UR]
Pay: Rs.
25,000/- per month (consolidated)
Nature
of post: The post is temporary and on contractual basis initially
for 1 (one) year which may be renewed (subject to total period of engagement
not exceeding 3 years) based on performance of the candidate.
Educational
qualification: At least 2nd Class Post Graduate degree in
Demography/ Population Studies/ Statistics/ Economics/Mathematics/Sociology
from a recognized institution/University.
Experience: One
year of experience post qualification (i.e. after Post Graduation). Relaxation
in deserving cases. Must have experience in collection, analysis of data,
handling of Software (SPSS, R etc) and programming.
3. Age: Candidates
for both the posts must not be above 38 years on the date of application.
4.
Application fee: Candidates for the posts will be required to
pay an amount of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) only by Demand Draft in favour
of the “Registrar, Gauhati University”
payable at SBI, G.U. Branch.
5. How
to apply: Completed applications in the prescribed form along with necessary
enclosures must reach The Registrar, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14.
6. Two
(2) copies of application with all testimonials are needed to be submitted.
7. The
envelope containing the application form must indicate the name of the post
& advertisement no.
8. Those
are in employment should submit their applications through proper channel or
must submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer.
9. Self
attested copies of Mark-Sheets, Birth Certificate, and Educational
Certificates, and Experience Certificate, etc. must be attached to the
application.
10. Last
date of submission of application: 10 September, 2021.
