CO-ORDINATOR : 01 VACANT POST

Applications on prescribed format are invited from the eligible Indian citizens for the following post in Gauhati University under Advertisement No. NTS-2/2023.

Name of post: Co-ordinator, Centre for South East Asian Studies, Gauhati University

No. of posts: 01

Nature of post: Purely on temporary basis (initially for 11 months)

Salary: Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees thirty thousand) only per month

Work place: Centre for South East Asian Studies, Gauhati University

Qualification:

i) MA in any discipline of Social Sciences (Preference to be given to candidates with South East Asian Studies background).

ii) Minimum percentage of marks in M.A. 60% or equivalent grade.

iii) Required office management skill and good knowledge on computer applications.

iv) Writing skill in English and Assamese.

N.B.: The post may be extended depending on performance and availability of budget for the centre.

Desirable Qualification: Ph.D degree  shall be desirable but not an essential qualification

Age: Should not be below 45 years of age as on the last date of receipt of application.

N.B. Applicants who have applied earlier against Advt. No. NTS-01/2021 dated 04.02.2021 & NTS-4/2022 dated 31.05.2022 need not apply again. However, they may update their application.

How to apply: Prescribed application form, the details of qualifications & other are available in the University website – www.gauhati.ac.in. The candidates may download the application form from the above website. Application in any other form will not be accepted.

Application fee: Candidates will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand) only and in case of SC/ST Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) only by Demand Draft in favour of the “Registrar, Gauhati University” payable at SBI, G.U. Branch as an application fee for the post.

Last date of submission of application: Completed applications in the prescribed form along with necessary enclosures must reach “The Registrar”, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14 latest by 30^th January, 2023. Two (2) copies of application forms with all testimonials are needed to be submitted. The envelope containing the application form must indicate the name of the post & advertisement no.
