Gauhati
University, Guwahati has released a recruitment notification inviting
applications for the positions of Guest
Teachers and Assistant
Teacher in its Model High School (English Section) and Model
School (English Section) on a temporary/contractual basis. Interested
candidates can apply online through the prescribed Google Form available on the
Gauhati University website before 20
August 2025 (11:55 PM).

Important Information
·
Remuneration: ₹21,000/- per month
·
Tenure: Initially for 6 months (extension subject to
requirement and performance)
·
Age Limit:
o
Guest
Teachers: Maximum 40 years (fresh candidates) and 62 years (retired teachers)
o
Assistant
Teacher: Maximum 40 years
·
Eligibility: Retired teachers are eligible to
apply only for Guest Teacher posts
·
Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be
called for an interview

Venue: Registrar’s Conference Room, Gauhati University
·
Document Verification: 09:00 AM – 10:00 AM
·
Interview Time: From 10:00 AM onwards
Shortlisted
candidates must bring their updated CV, original documents, and one set of
self-attested copies.
General Instructions
·
Candidates
must check the Gauhati University website regularly for shortlisted candidate
lists. No separate call letters will be issued.
·
No
TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
·
Any
changes in the interview schedule will be notified only on the university
website.
·
The
University reserves the right to appoint suitable candidates if no qualified
applicant is found.
·
Services
may be terminated without prior notice if required.
