Office of the Registrar, Gauhati University, Guwahati has released Advertisement No. NTS-11/2025 inviting applications for the position of Guest Teacher (Assamese) at Gauhati University Model High School (Eng. Sec.), G.U. Campus. The appointment will be on a purely temporary basis.

·         Name of Post: Guest Teacher (Assamese)

·         Number of Positions: 01 (One)

·         Place of Engagement: Gauhati University Model High School (Eng. Sec.), G.U. Campus

·         Essential Qualification: Graduate with Major in Assamese and B.Ed. degree

·         Age Limit: Not more than 40 years for fresh candidates; 62 years for retired teachers

·         Remuneration: ₹21,000/- per month

·         Tenure of Appointment: Initially for 6 months (extension subject to requirement and performance)

General Instructions

·         Shortlisted candidates will be notified on the official Gauhati University website www.gauhati.ac.in. No separate call letter will be issued.

·         Candidates must bring an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV), all original certificates/documents, and one set of self-attested copies during the interview.

·         Retired teachers are also eligible to apply.

·         No TA/DA will be provided for attending the walk-in interview.

·         Any changes in the interview schedule will be displayed only on the university website.

·         The university reserves the right to appoint suitable candidates if no qualified applicants are found.

·         The service of the selected candidate may be terminated without prior notice if required.
